Sorry I forgot to include this is not a public site, it is all internal to our company network. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I know some will ask why we don't just use FileZilla or a CMD prompt since that works, we have a 3rd party tool/application that uses IE for ftp so I have to get ftp working with IE. I have deleted the FTP setup and created a new one and I have the same issue both times. I have ran TDIMON while doing it to see if any ports were being blocked but I don't get any errors, all entries come back as a success. I have tried differentĬombinations of IE settings of the "Enable FTP folder view (outside of Internet Explorer)" & "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and dsl modem compatibility)", currently I have both checked because that seems to be what most documentation recommends. After setting it up I go to IE 8.0 (tried on multiple computers)Īnd put in the address, I get the log in window and put in the information, after that it just takes me directly to IE windows stating there was a connection problem but not error codes or anything that can be used for searching. I have recently setup FTP on a Windows 2008 R2 server with no Windows firewall setup on the server. I am new to both Server 2008 and setting up and FTP so this may be something simple.
